Straw Cartoning Machine

The ZH-500 straw cartoning machine is designed for automatic box packing of drinking straws or straw packs. It supports carton sizes from 70 × 45 × 12 mm to 230 × 135 × 50 mm and operates at approximately 5–30 boxes/min. PLC control, touchscreen operation, batch-number printing, fault alarm and waste rejection help support stable straw cartoning production.

Automatic Straw Cartoning

The ZH-500 is configured for automatic box packing of drinking straws, counted straw groups or pre-packed straw bundles, depending on the feeding layout.

PLC Control and Fault Detection

The PLC control system monitors process conversion, material level, product feeding and carton packing status. Fault alarms, automatic detection and shutdown functions help reduce continuous production errors.

Batch Number Printing

The machine can print batch numbers on the carton according to the selected configuration, supporting production identification and packaging traceability.

Adjustable Carton Specifications

The machine supports carton sizes from 70 × 45 × 12 mm to 230 × 135 × 50 mm. Packaging settings can be adjusted within the supported range according to carton size and straw-pack format.

Paper Folding and Carton Material Requirements

The folding section supports paper sizes before folding from 100 × 100 mm to 250 × 150 mm, with folded sizes from 100 × 20 mm to 150 × 40 mm. Carton paper is recommended at 250–350 g/m².

Choose the ZH-500 when the carton-loading process is designed around drinking straws, counted straw groups or straw packs. Choose the AB-120 automatic cartoning machine when a more general-purpose horizontal cartoning system is required for different product types.

How the ZH-500 Cartoning Process Works

Flat cartons are loaded into the carton magazine.
The machine opens and positions each carton.
Straws, counted straw groups or straw packs are fed into the cartoning section.
The folding unit prepares the paper insert or folded sheet when required.
Products are pushed into the carton.
Batch numbers can be printed according to the selected configuration.
Finished cartons are discharged, while abnormal cartons or missing-material conditions can be detected and rejected.

For accurate straw grouping before carton loading, the ZH-500 can be planned together with the AB-250DS straw counting machine. Final transfer method and automation level should be confirmed according to the straw format, carton size and required output.
